Ligmincha of Southern California is delighted to announce a weekend teaching and practice retreat with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, February 10 – 12.
In presenting the Tibetan Yogas of Body, Speed and Mind, Rinpoche will draw from a vast system of knowledge to teach the many ways that body, speech and mind can be accessed as doorways to happiness, contentment, better health and ultimately liberation. Are other practices or programs held in Southern California?
Yes, Rinpoche’s senior students periodically present programs that support Rinpoche’s teachings. Local programs are announced through this website and via the announcement list.
MONTHLY PRACTICE
The Southern California sangha meets at locations in the greater Los Angeles area on the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Our regular practice includes silent meditation, the nine breaths of purification, tsa lung, and the Five Warrior Syllables practice. All levels of practitioners are welcome and previous experience of these practices is not required.
For those who wish to participate, a pot-luck lunch is shared from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Follow instructions below to place your name on the contact and announcement lists.
About Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche was the first to bring the Bön Dzogchen teachings to the West in 1988 and remains one of the very few Bönpo masters to live and teach in the West.
Rinpoche is an acclaimed author as well as a highly respected and beloved teacher to students throughout the world.
He is known for his clear, lively and insightful teaching style and his ability to make Tibetan practices easily accessible to the Western practitioner.
